Lenny Pearce West Hollywood Concert reviews
WWE house shows are completely pointless
The WWE event I saw in State College, PA showcased the lack of serious competition within its industry. The tickets were cheap, prompting me to attend and witness the show. Most matches, apart from a few, were easily predictable. Championship matches were especially laughable, with titles never changing hands in a small, rural town's house show. The majority of matches were cheesy tag team battles, with wrestlers like Golddust dominating the one-on-one matchups. Despite my admiration for Asuka, she had minimal involvement in her match, overshadowed by her tag team partner, Dana Brooke.
The disappointing main event was initially promoted as a one-on-one battle between Roman Reigns and The Miz, only to turn into yet another uninspiring tag team match filled with stalling and rest holds. The lengthy intermission puzzled me, as it seemed unnecessary for an event of this nature. Perhaps it was a tactic to encourage children to persuade their parents into purchasing the overpriced merchandise.
After this experience, I've decided not to attend another WWE house show. However, I may reconsider attending Raw, Smackdown, or a pay-per-view in the future if the ticket prices are reasonable. These events promise more excitement and action compared to the lackluster house show.
